Student Leadership Development (SLD) provides students with various opportunities to learn more about themselves, develop new leadership skills, and become student leaders through programs and events, including Campuswide Leadership Workshops, Leadership Retreats, and Leadership Conferences.

Graduate Assistantship

Graduate Assistants will have the opportunity to work with various aspects of the Student Leadership Development office. The department has an opportunity for a graduate student interested in working in higher education in the area of leadership development. Graduate students will work approximately 10-20 hours a week based on the selected candidate’s experience and/or interests. For more information go to our assistantship page here.

Summer Leadership Academy

We understand that leadership is a process and is not contingent on holding a formal leadership position. We seek to increase the leadership awareness of students and to assist them in developing the foundational leadership skills necessary to be a successful and effective leader. Through the Summer Leadership Academy it is our goal that First Time In College students will become active citizens in the UCF community by becoming agents of social change.
